The Early Chamber of Commerce put out the call for a new slogan for the City of Early in their recent “Tag Line” contest and the new slogan and winner was revealed Tuesday night during the 2009 Early Chamber of Commerce Awards Banquet.

“Small Town Livin’, Big Town Pride” was the winning tag line submitted by Brownwood resident Rhonda Palmer.

There was a panel of 5 judges that determined the winner of the tag line contest that will be used for marketing purposes for the city of Early as its short, catchy slogan that personifies what the city of Early is all about.

The winner of the contest received a basket full of coupons, gift certificates, and freebies from local merchants valued at a minimum of $500.  Palmer was unable to attend the Chamber Banquet, but her mother Virginia Shirley accepted on her behalf.
