Brownwood Freshmen Football Falls To Abilene Wylie

brownwoodlionslogoThe Brownwood Lions Freshmen teams traveled to Abilene on Thursday and faced Abilene Wylie.

The Freshmen Maroon team lost their matchup with a final score of 30-15.

Brownwood scoring drives included:

  • Cameron Deal (RB) – 2 Yard Rushing Touchdown – (3rd Quarter with 5:54 on the clock)
  • Michael Westerman (K) -Extra Point Good – (3rd Quarter with 5:54 on the clock)
  • Bryce Vickers (WR) – 23 Yard Pass from Slate Miller (QB) – (4th Quarter with 8:18 on the clock)
  • Bryce Vickers (WR) – Two Point Conversion Pass from Slate Miller (QB)

Brownwood Freshman Maroon Offensive Standouts:

  • Bryce Vickers (WR)
  • Payton Lee (OL)
  • Cameron Deal (RB)

Brownwood Freshman Maroon Defensive Standouts:

  • Bryce Vickers (LB)
  • Brandon Brownlee (LB)
  • Newt Harrell (LB)

Brownwood Freshman Maroon goes to a 3-3 record for the season and a 0-1 record in district play.

Their next game is next Thursday, October 15th vs. Breckenridge Freshman at Gordon Wood Stadium at 5 PM.

The Brownwood Freshmen White team also lost in their matchup against Wylie with a 6-0 final score.
