The Brownwood Lions Junior Varsity team faced the Manor Mustangs last Thursday at home and came out on top with a final score of 38-6.

Sam Humeniuk got the Lions on the scoreboard early with a 75 yard TD run.  On the very next possession, Juan Chavez picked up a fumble and returned it 20 yards for the score.  Marshall Whitt added a catch on the 2-point conversion.  Humeniuk scored again later in the quarter from 5 yards out.

In the 2nd half, Marshall Whitt caught a 48 yard touchdown pass from Matt McCrane while Michael Cuellar added the 2-point conversion.  Chavez ended the scoring on a 30 yard run in the 4th quarter.  The defense played extremely well, led by Chavez, John McDonald and Jose Avila.

The Lions JV team travel to Abilene Wylie this Thursday to take on the Bulldogs.
