October 4-10 is National 4-H Week, and Brown County is celebrating it with the local 4-H youth.

Today, the Brown County Commissioners signed a Proclamation declaring this week as National 4-H week.

Many 4-H youth were on hand in commissioners court today and made a presentation of “goodies” to the county to show their appreciation.  Kendall Thornhill, May 4H; Blake Anderson, May 4-H; Bo Wood, May 4-H; Peyton Pittman, Rabbit Club; Beale Madison Gordon, Early 4-H; and Trey Glasscock, Early 4-H were among those on hand today in commissioners court.

4-H is a community of six million young people across America learning leadership, citizenship, and life skills. National 4-H Council is the private sector, non-profit partner of National 4-H Headquarters (USDA). The 4-H programs are implemented by the 106 Land Grant Universities and the Cooperative Extension System through their 3,100 local Extension offices across the country.
