Brownwood’s Professional Basketball Team Hosting Tryouts

BrownwoodBrigadelogoBrownwood’s upcoming professional basketball team, the Brownwood Brigade, will be hosting their 2nd set of team tryouts tomorrow.

the 10th anniversary of the Texas Professional Basketball League (TPBL) is just around the corner and Brownwood is anxious to show Texas what they are bringing to the table.

Team owners, Jody Jordan and Aaron Adams are still looking for more players to round out their roster for the season and will be hosting an open tryout for all players wanting pro basketball experience. For the ladies, the Brigade will also be hosting cheerleader/dance team tryouts.

Tryouts begin on Saturday October 3rd at 9:00am-1:00pm at Coggin Ave Baptist Church Located at 1715 Coggin Avenue.  Registration begins at 8:45am.  It is $15 for Mens Basketball (18+) $10 for Cheerleaders (18+).  Those who participate will get a team t-shirt.

Players selected for the team will be paid a percentage of game ticket sales during the season.  The new season of the TPBL begins in January.

The Brownwood Brigade is also looking for local team sponsors to help get the team kicked off.
