Several Accidents Reported On Early Blvd

The Early Police Department is reporting that heavy traffic on Friday afternoon lead to a series of accidents between 3pm and 5:30pm and one incident lead to an arrest for possession of a controlled substance.

All of these accidents happened in or near the construction zone on Early Blvd.

3:16pm – The first accident was on Orchard Drive near Parkway where traffic detours to avoid the heavy construction area. Brownwood and Early Fire Dept along with Guardian EMS were called. One minor injury sought medical attention in a private car. A silver mercury turned left in front of a silver Honda.

3:45pm – A red car was rear ended by a pickup in the 100 block of Early Blvd, no injuries, both parties agreed to settle it on their own.

3:59pm – 600 block Early Blvd a maroon Chevy made a right turn from the left lane in front of a 2001 green Chrysler. The driver of the green Chrysler was transported by Guardian EMS for injuries she received in the accident.

4:26pm – 500 block of Early Blvd a white pickup turned left in front of a silver Dodge car. No injuries. The driver of the white pickup, Steven Hudson was arrested for possession of control substance after a substance was found in his pocket while being questioned about possibly being intoxicated.
