The Brownwood Lion’s Junior Varsity Team traveled to Liberty Hill on Thursday night.  Head JV coach Ty Lang submitted the following report.

The JV Lions beat Liberty Hill last night 14-7.  The defense played very well against a tough opponent.

Juan Chavez and Dante Crawford led a group of Lions that were flying to the football all night long.

De Netro Clifton scored on a 55 yard run to get the Lions on the board in the 1st quarter.

In the 2nd half, quarterback Matt McCrane connected with wide receiver Chris Cotton on a screen pass for a 49 yard touchdown.

With the Lions leading late in the game, the defense came up with a huge 4th down stop deep in their own territory to preserve the win.

The JV Lions are open next week and will host Manor the following Thursday.
