Margie Waldrop, a long-time resident of Brownwood graduated summa cum laude from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville.

Margie started her college career in 2003 at the age of 49. She earned a BA degree with a major in Spanish and a minor in History, and finished with a 3.96 GPA.

This was Ms. Waldrop’s second graduation in 3 months, having received an AA in Spanish Translation at UT Brownsville in May.

Margie, her husband Steve and youngest daughter Melodi currently live in San Benito, Tx, where Steve teaches Spanish at IDEA Academy and College Prep.

Margie, Steve, and Melodi have numerous family members and friends in Brownwood.
