Classic Car Show Preview – Touch of Mayberry Comes To Town

mayberryMembers of the Heartland Cruisers and Brownwood Reunion organizers offered a brief preview of their upcoming Classic Car Show taking place next week.

The Classic Car Show will be held at the Brownwood Coliseum during the Brownwood Reunion Celebration & show times will be, Saturday, September 19th – 10am – 6pm, Sunday, September 20th – Noon – 5pm.

Admission to the show is free and there will be door prizes and free gifts for all entrants & a People’s Choice Award will be given and announced on Sunday, Sept 20th at 4pm.

At today’s preview, organizers showed off some of the great vehicles that fans can expect to see.

One key attraction is a 1960 Fairlane 500 Mayberry Police Car that was used in the original Andy Griffith Show from the 1960’s.  The car is autographed by several of the stars of the TV show including Don Knotts.

Other cars previewed today were:

  • 1955 Chevy
  • 1956 Chevy Convertible
  • 1957 T-Bird
  • 1951 Desoto
  • 1956 Ford Pickup
  • 1950 Thames Anglia
  • 1950 Ford Tow Truck
  • 1957 Hillman
  • 1958 Corvette Convertible
