It was a tough battle for several area high school football teams on Friday night, but it was not an opponent that was giving them trouble.  Thunderstorms rumbled through central Texas and caused havoc on several teams forcing game schedule changes or a simple cancellation of a game.

Here is a rundown of area football scores for Friday night and/or the status of the games if there was a schedule change.

Brownwood won on the road defeating La Vega 24-7.  CLICK HERE for full game report.

The Early Longhorn’s game against Wall was rescheduled for Today (Sept 5th) at 1pm in Early.

The Bangs vs. Llano game was canceled shortly after kickoff due to lightning.  The game will not be rescheduled.

Goldthwaite shut out Hamilton 41-0

Zephyr vs. Lometa rescheduled for this morning.

Blanket vs. Eden cancelled

Victory Life cancelled

May lost to Rochelle 53-8
