bwdmiddleschoolThe the Texas Education Agency released the annual accountability ratings for the state school districts and our area came out with some great news.  Both Brownwood and Early school districts received a recognized rating as districts.  But the real story is seen in the individual campus ratings, especially on the elementary level.

Brownwood ISD Superintendent Reece Blinco said, “I am ecstatic, these are great ratings.  This is the first time ever that all of our schools have been Recognized or Exemplary.”  All of the elementary schools in both Brownwood and Early ISD received Exemplary marks.  “The school with the most gains was East Elementary, which went from Academically Acceptable to Exemplary,” Blinco went on to say.

The list of Brownwood & Early schools district & campus rankings are as follows:

Brownwood ISD – Recognized

  • BROWNWOOD Middle School Recognized
  • BROWNWOOD High School Recognized
  • BROWNWOOD Intermediate Recognized
  • COGGIN Elementary Recognized
  • WOODLAND HEIGHTS Elementary Exemplary
  • NORTHWEST Elementary Exemplary
  • EAST Elementary Exemplary

Early ISD – Recognized

  • EARLY High School Recognized
  • EARLY Middle School Recognized
  • EARLY Elementary Exemplary
  • EARLY Primary Exemplary
