articlePicTTABday3TTAB Junior Boys State Tournament continues today with mixed results for the home teams.

Early games in today’s state tournament were postponed until this afternoon due to morning rain showers.  The Brownwood Rockies faced The Colorado City Nationals this afternoon at the BHS Baseball Field.  Colorado City took a strong lead in the 2nd and 3rd innings of the game of which the Brownwood Rockies could not recover.  Brownwood gets their first loss with a 14-3 score dropping them into the loser bracket.  They will play Thursday morning at 11:30am at the BHS Field.

The other local team in the tournament, the Brownwood White Sox, faired much better.  They played the Athens Braves and dominated them for the entire game.  The Sox win 11-1 and continue in the winners bracket.  The Brownwood White Sox will play the Colorado City Nationals on Thursday at 6pm at the BHS Field.  This should be a highly anticipated game with the Nationals defeating the Brownwood Rockies in the earlier game.
