soxarticlepicLocal teams are doing well so far in the pair of TTAB State Tournaments hosted in Brownwood.

The Brownwood Rockies won their second game of the day, this time defeating Alto in a 7-1 victory.  The Rockies will move forward in the winners bracket of the TTAB Junior Boys State Tournament to face Colorado City Wednesday morning at 9am at the BHS Baseball Field.

Also in the Junior Boys State Tournament, the Brownwood White Sox played their first game this evening at 8:30pm defeating the Ennis Southwest Funding team 5-2.  This also moves the Sox forward in the tournament with a game scheduled for 11:30 am on Wednesday at the BHS Field as well.

Switching to the TTAB Senior Midget Boys State Tournament, the Brownwood Longhorns gained their second win of the day in a great come from behind victory against the PG Mustangs.  Final score was 9-8.  The Longhorns will play their next game at 8pm on Tuesday at the Camp Bowie Fields.  The Brownwood Longhorns defeated the Brownwood Lions earlier in the day dropping the Lions to the loser bracket.  Lions play 10 am on Tuesday against the Rice Bulldogs.
