Arthur Fourment will be the featured artist of the Brownwood Art Association’s First Thursday event from 5-8 PM on June 5th at the Brownwood Art Center, located at 215 Fisk in downtown Brownwood.

Arthur’s interest in painting began in 1965 at the age of 45. His first instructor was Maisi Sirois in Abilene, Texas.  Ms. Sirois was a master of impressionistic art.

After retiring from his Orthodontics practice in 1985, painting became a serious interest for him.  Dr. Fourment was a member of the Port Isabell, Texas Art Association for fourteen years before moving to Brownwood.

Since 2001, he has been active in the promotion of the Brownwood Art Association.  Arthur enjoys painting in his home studio.
