Building permits have already been issued for a Dollar General at 1930 Early Boulevard out on the east side of town.   “We expect them to begin construction within the next two weeks.  We don’t have a completion date at this time,” said Tony Aaron, Early City Administrator.  The location is at Highway 377 and FM 3100 north of Eastlawn Memorial Park.

The City Council will also consider a Municipal Development funding request from High Point Asset Management, LLC for a proposed Family Dollar going into the old Big G Grocery location at 800 Early Boulevard.  “The developer will be here in Early on Monday for our Council meeting and there are some items on our agenda we’ll be discussing with that.  We hope to have that one a little closer to having final plans and issuing permits within the next four to six weeks,” Aaron said.

The City Council will also consider approving a 380 agreement between the City of Early and C J Real Estate LLC to include the sell of city owned property at 113 Early Boulevard, the former Sliger’s location where a Starbucks is proposed.  “The Starbucks developer will also be here on Monday.  He has a multi-tenant site that he’s purchased several months back and has been working to get that site cleared off in the 100 block of Early Boulevard,” Aaron said.

The Early City Council meeting Monday will be brought to order at 12 noon, then lunch, then the actual meeting starts at 12:30 at Early City Hall.
