The Brown County Commissioners are pleased to announce a series of Precinct Community Preparedness Events to be held across each county precinct in the coming weeks.
These events are designed to help residents strengthen their readiness for emergencies and to introduce the county’s new emergency messaging and alert platform, Brown County Alert.
At each Community Preparedness Event, the Commissioner, emergency management staff, and volunteers will be on hand to assist residents in registering for Brown County Alert. Community members are encouraged to attend, ask questions, and ensure their household is connected to the county’s official emergency communications channel.
In addition, each event will feature a variety of community partners who play key roles in emergency preparedness, response, and recovery.
County Commissioners will host their Community Preparedness Events within their respective precincts and will provide complimentary refreshments for residents who attend.
