Rhonda “Lil’ Meme” Kelly Hill, 60, passed away on March 13, 2026. Family will host a visitation from 6-8 pm, Thursday, March 19, at Heartland Funeral Home in Early. Services will be held at 2 pm, Friday, March 20, at Brownwood Evangelism Center with interment to follow at Jordan Springs Cemetery under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home.

Rhonda was born on July 9, 1965 in Brownwood, Texas to Joe Hill and Tressa Finnigan. She graduated from high school in 1984. During her high school years, she competed at the state level in track and became a certified beautician. She was a devoted mother of four children, whom she loved with all her heart. Every night, before falling asleep, she made sure to tell them, “Sweet dreams of me.”

Rhonda was loved by many-truly, to know her was to love her. She cared deeply for her family and every animal she ever met. It became a running family joke that she might have loved her pets even more than her kids. Rhonda loved spending time with her family, and her home was always open to everyone. She never met a stranger and often fed all the neighborhood kids.

Rhonda had her own unique style and never worried about what anyone thought. Her playful confidence sometimes embarrassed her siblings when she’d show up wearing stripes with polka dots-but that was just Rhonda.

Her brother and sister affectionately called her “the brat,” a title she was proud to carry. Rhonda’s mother was the center of her world-she was the baby of the family and her mother’s heartbeat.

Rhonda adored her grandchildren. In her eyes, they could do no wrong, and she never let their parents scold them. To her, those babies were perfect.

Survivors include her mother, Tressa Finnigan. Children: Kellie Gay of Brownwood, TX; Melanie Thompson of Kingwood, TX; Megan Beck and husband Sonny Beck of Blanket, TX; and Casey Gay and wife Kayla Gay of Brownwood, TX. Siblings include Tammy Mackey and husband Brian Mackey of Brookesmith, TX; sister-in-law Mary Hill of Blanket, TX; and brother Doug Finnigan and wife Lisa Finnigan of Abilene, TX. Her aunt, June McGuire of Brownwood, TX, also survives her. Grandchildren include Kayleigh Thompson, Kamry Thompson, Kayleigh Boyd and spouse Bowdy Boyd, Mason Beck, and Brooklynn Beck.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joe Hill, and wife Betty Hill; stepfather, Danny Finnigan; brother, Sterling Hill; and nephew, Justin Hill.

The family kindly asks that any donations be made to your local animal shelter.

Online condolences, memories and tributes can be made to the family at www.heartlandfuneralhome.net
