Well, here goes nothing. It’s a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, or whenever you are reading this. It’s up to date. Texas lost and they looked like they needed to get beat. They were preseason picked Number 1 and they lost by a score of 14-7 to Ohio State. I’m doing this specifically for Derrick Stuckly because he’s the only one I know that takes the Texas games seriously. I mean bad serious. He’s down right now but he’ll be up before very long.

The reason why – Texas got beat, they got beat by a better ball club I guess, but I’m not sure they’re not inferior. Right now, it looks like they are a bonafide Number 1 team and all that. Bull! I don’t believe it! I believe they got beat on a fluke deal. It was 14-0 and Texas hadn’t done one cotton picking thing. Then, they drive to the one yard line and they don’t get it in. Eventually they score with five minutes to go and its 14-7. They get the ball back and they’re in range to win the thing. They just couldn’t put it in.

Anyway, they didn’t win the ballgame and they just analyzed it to death. It was 14-7 for the final score, but back to the start. The start was a little bit crazy. Texas couldn’t do anything and what about the “savior”, the All American quarterback who hadn’t taken an official snap as a starter. The first play of the game he throws a twenty-five yarder about fifteen yards. I mean he looked about as bad as he could possibly look. You couldn’t help but blame them. They kept him away from any deep balls and nothing chancy. He ended up throwing one interception and he could have done it in any length of time.

It was an exhibition by Texas that, well, couldn’t be enjoyed. He looked like he was a struggling kid for three quarters of the ballgame. Texas should have won the game even though the quarterback did not play well. After the game, he took full responsibility and basically said, “I’ll be better. Trust me, I’ll be better.”

I think that Texas may just lose that one ballgame this year, maybe two. Either way, they’re going to get into the playoffs I think. Can Ohio State be the team that takes advantage of them again? I only hope and pray that they get the opportunity – not in Columbus, Ohio or wherever they were. In other words, they’re not going to let Ohio State play a home game again so I think they’ll be fine. Ohio State didn’t look like the victor. It just looked like Texas smelled the place up. A ballgame that was tied didn’t necessarily look like it should have been tied. But Texas and Ohio State, I would only hope that they would play again.

I think it will be Texas and somebody else and it’s going to be somebody real tough – eventually. First things first, Texas has three straight against those, whatever they call them, teams not the same as Texas. They are not a major conference team. They should get worn out and Texas will be three and one before they have to start playing real people again.

Ohio State was good and Texas was good, they just didn’t put anything on the board. For Derrick, hang in there. It will get better!

Until next time, so long everybody.
