ALBANY – The Bangs Lady Dragons were dealt a defeat in their first District 6-2A volleyball match of the season Saturday, falling to Albany by a 25-21, 25-17, 25-9 count.

Standouts for the Lady Dragons included Joey Newton with 2 assists and 5 digs; Neeley Bradley with 1 ace, 3 kills, 13 assists and 8 digs; Raylee Hutchins with 2 kills and 2 digs; Kasey Solis with 1 digs and 1 solo block and 1 block assists; Julianna Ethridge with 1 ace and 15 digs; Emily Baker with 1 kill and 2 digs; Cloey Petty with 1 aces and 6 digs; Ava Boren with 3 aces, 5 kills, 3 assists and 5 digs; and Jadyn Miller with 2 aces, 7 kills and 7 digs.

Bangs (11-10, 0-1) will be back in action at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday as its hosts Coleman in 6-2A action.
