WeCanBeHeroes2014Relay for Life Brown County is set for Friday, June 6, 2014 7:00 p.m. at Gordon Wood Stadium in Brownwood, and organizers state that it is not too late to sign up for the event.

Those interested in leading a fundraising team for the event are invited to the Relay for Life Team Captain meeting dates which are as follows:

Tuesday, March 18 – Noon
Thursday, March 20 – 5:30
Thursday, April 17 – Noon and 5:30
Tuesday, May 20 – Noon
Thursday, May 22 – 5:30

All meetings will be held in the conference room on the second floor at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.  Please use the west entrance for easiest access.

Relay for Life is the signature fundraising event of the American Cancer Society where individuals and teams walk/run overnight to show their commitment in the fight against cancer and to help raise money for cancer research and support.  This year’s theme is “We can be Heroes,” based on superheroes.

Relay for Life represents the hope that those lost to cancer will never be forgotten, that those who face cancer will be supported, and that one day cancer will be eliminated.
