Terry Lee Ware, 48, of Rising Star, Texas passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2023. A visitation with family will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Friday, June 23, 2023 at Heartland Funeral Home. Funeral Service be held in the Rising Star School Gym, Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 2:00 PM with interment to follow at Rising Star, Cemetery officiated by Terry Simmons & Terry Jackson.

Terry Lee was born September 16, 1974 in Brownwood, Texas to Jay and Stella (Stone) Ware. He graduated from Rising Star High School in 1993 and married Nancy Welch February 22, 2022 in Rising Star. Terry Lee loved his community, his heritage, his friends and his family. If he wasn’t picking on his children, his nieces & nephews, he was taking them out to the farm to ride on a tractor. He enjoyed watching his children play sports. Terry Lee made a career of farming alongside his dad; he was named farmer of the year 2016. He was a gun store owner who loved to go hunting and fishing with his “brothers”. Terry Lee dedicated more than 30 years to the Rising Star Fire Department “Chief 33” where he served his community, made many friendships and lasting memories.

Terry Lee is survived by his wife, Nancy (Welch) Ware of Rising Star; daughter, Macee; sons, Breydan, Noah & AJ all of Rising Star; mom, Stella Ware & dad, Jay Ware of Rising Star; sister, Judy Ware Patterson and husband Jeremy of Rising Star; nephew, Jay Lee Patterson of Rising Star & nieces, Emma Patterson of Rising Star & Kailey Patterson of Early; many cousins, brothers and sisters in the Fire Dept. community and friends.

Terry Lee was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, D.E. and Goldene Ware and maternal grandparents, Austin and Emma Stone.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Rising Star Fire Department, 127 N Main St, Rising Star, TX 76471.
