Fishing Reports 6/14/23

The following fishing reports are provided by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for the week of June 14:

LAKE BROWNWOOD

GOOD. Water slightly stained; 80-84 degrees; 4.58 feet below pool. Black bass to 7.23 pounds are fair on soft plastic worms in 5-18 feet of water. Crappie are fair in brush piles in 8-15 feet of water on jigs, and on minnows around the docks. White bass are fair to 1.00 pounds in the lights on crankbaits, jigs and minnows. Catfish are fair to eight pounds on cut gizzard shad or jigs fishing near the State Park.

LAKE CISCO

GOOD. Water normal stain; 80 degrees; 8.48 feet below pool. The perch and bass have been active. Crappie are good in 20 feet of water with catches of carp mixed in. Report by Lake Cisco Rentals.

LAKE COLEMAN

SLOW. Slightly stained; 74-80 degrees; 5.76 feet below pool. Fishing patterns are similar with the best bites early in the morning, or near sunset. Black bass are good on jigs, crankbaits and spinnerbaits in 2-15 feet of water. Crappie are slow in brush piles on jigs in 8-14 feet of water, and on minnows around the docks. White bass are slow in the lights at night using crankbaits, jigs and minnows. Catfish are good on cut gizzard shad off docks.

LAKE O.H. IVIE

GOOD. Water stained; 76-79 degrees; 24.60 feet below pool. Largemouth bass are good using soft plastics throughout the day, and topwater baits early in the morning. White bass are good with crankbaits. Crappie good using minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on live bait or cut bait. Report by Concho Park and Marina.

LAKE PROCTOR

SLOW. Water stained; 80 degrees; 8.49 feet below pool. Sand bass and catfish fishing is excellent near the island. Report by Michael Acosta, Unfair Advantage Charters.
