Rosa Louise Smith, born in Byrds, TX on November 29, 1926, passed away on August 14, 2013. She was the consummate wife, mother, and friend. Louise married Navy pilot Billie Edward Smith in 1948 and together they traveled and lived all across the country.

After Bill’s death in 1964, Louise married Gordon Smith in 1976 and extended her family with two step sons, Darrel and Terry.

Louise was predeceased by her parents, Joe and Myrtle Long, brothers Earl Long and Charles Stone, husbands Bill Smith and Gordon Smith, son Randy Smith, and grandson Evan Smith.

She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Martha Smith, daughter and son-in-law, Lynda and Dwain Harris, niece Adelia Wright and husband Darrell Wright, niece Madeline Dunn, and grandson Eric Smith.

Louise was a woman of class and character, who loved to dance, read, and take afternoon naps. She will be forever missed.

Visitation is 5-7 p.m. at Davis Morris Funeral Home on Sunday, August 18, 2013. Graveside service 11 a.m. at Eastlawn Memorial Park on Monday, August 19, 2013.
