Maintenance Supervisor, Jerry O’Neal was recently presented the SRO Golden Donut Safety Award for creating additional master keys which would be used in the event the District Joint/Incident Command Center is activated. The keys can be distributed to emergency first responders.

“O’Neal did not hesitate when the request was made to have the keys created,” explained School Resource Officer (SRO), Fred Bastardo. “This will help fill an important link in the district’s emergency response plan.”

The Golden Doughnut Safety Award is a roving award that is presented to BISD employees who have shown a commitment to school safety and security within the district.
