Shannon Davenport, age 52, of Brady, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2026, in Brady. Shannon was born on April 24, 1974, in Dallas, Texas, to John Davenport and Donna (Mitchell) Davenport. She grew up in Brady. She lived at the Mulberry House in Brownwood for several years before returning home to Brady recently.

Graveside services for Shannon Davenport will be held at 10:00am, Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at the Rochelle Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Courtney Godwin, Garrett Godwin, Bo Rose, Rex Rose, Amy Rose, and Sterling Roddie.

Shannon is survived by her father, John Davenport and wife Sandra; sister Sterling Roddie; nieces Jaye Roddie and partner Gabriel Zapata, Journey Roddie, and Jameson Roddie; aunts Kim Godwin and husband Skip and Mary Rose and husband Bo and many friends.

Shannon was preceded in death by her mother Donna (Mitchell) Gartman, stepfather Jack Gartman, and brother-in-law Jim Bob Roddie.
