Teresa Marin

Mrs. Teresa Marin, age 76, of Zephyr, Texas, passed away on June 1, 2026. Family will host a rosary at 6 pm on Thursday, June 4 at Heartland Funeral Home in Early, with visitation to follow. A funeral service for Mrs. Marin will be held at 11 am on Friday, June 5, at St. Mary’s Queen of Peace in Brownwood, Tx., with interment to follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park in Early.

Teresa was born on October 15, 1949 in Nueva Jarita, Coahuila, Mexico, to Gerardo Davalos and Marcelina Alvizo. On August 15, 1965, she married Patricio Marin in Jimenez, Coahuila, Mexico. She worked as a custodian at Comanche High School for approximately 12 years and worked in food service at Brownwood Regional Medical Center for 2 years. She was a member of St. Mary’s Queen of Peace Church in Brownwood.

Teresa enjoyed antique shopping, gardening, and most of all, spending time with her family and her devotional and prayer time.

Teresa is survived by her children, Patricia Adair and husband John of Nolanville, Tx., Pablo Marin and wife Alveza of Early, and Araceli Westerman and husband Patrick of Dripping Springs; her siblings, Julio Davalos of Comanche, Juana Campos of Early, and Heriberto Davalos of Jumeez, Coahuila, Mexico; her grandchildren, Armando Salazar, Jr., Andres Salazar, Shalina Marin, Pablo Marin, Jr., Diego Marin, Sierra Ragsdale, and Seth Westerman; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, Gerardo Davalos and Marcelina Alvizo; her husband of 34 years and the love of her life, Patricio Marin; and her sisters, Margarita Faz, Cruz Lorta, and Nieves Lorta.
