Three churches in Brownwood are celebrating 150 years of existence this year – First Baptist, First Methodist, and Union Presbyterian. In celebration of this milestone, the three churches are joining together to have three community worship services – one at each church. The choirs from each church will be singing special music as we unite in song. The community is invited to worship with these congregations honoring their 150 years in Brownwood.
The first community worship service will be Sunday, June 14, at 6:00 pm at First Baptist Church, 208 Austin Avenue. After worship, there will be a time of fellowship for all with cobbler and ice cream.
Community worship at First Methodist Church will be August 16 followed by a community service at Union Presbyterian Church on September 13. The time for each service is 6:00 pm. All are welcome and encouraged to attend these special services.
