
The following information was provided by the Brown County Sheriff’s Office:
- On May 29, 2026, at approximately 11:32, Sergeant G Smith was dispatched to W. Commerce for fraud. Jodie Callaway reported she had listed items for sale on Market Place. Callaway said an individual using the name Sophia Marie responded to the ad wanting to buy the items. Payment for the items was to be made through Venmo. Callaway said she received a message from who she thought was Venmo saying there was a problem with the payment and for her to contact support. Callaway said she contacted support, who told her money needed to be put in Venmo to complete the transaction. Money was taken from her bank account, but the transaction was never completed. Information was gathered, and a report was written.
- On 05/29/26, at approximately 1020 hours, Deputies Ethan Fox and John Geis were dispatched to the intersection of W US 67 and Beck Road regarding a missing person. During the search, Deputy Ethan Fox located the vehicle the missing person was reported driving in the parking lot of a Casey’s gas station. Deputy Fox made contact and confirmed the identity of Deborah McBride. Deputy Fox made contact with the family, who later picked Deborah up from the Law Enforcement Center. A report was made.
- On May 29, 2026, at approximately 1922 hours, Deputy Alexandria Sanchez was dispatched to possible terroristic threat by public service. Deputy Sanchez spoke with John Lee Mead (Victim), who stated RICHARD ALLEN SCHULTIS JR (SUSPECT, W/M, 4/5/73) threated him if he stepped on his property.
- On 05/29/26, at approximately 0909 hours, Deputy Ethan Fox was dispatched to Cr 133, Brownwood, Tx 76801 regarding loose livestock. Deputy Fox made contact with a cowboy, due to being unable to locate an owner. The cattle were collected the following day on 05/30/26 and estrayed. The cattle owner was identified and contacted, and a report was made.
- On May 30, 2026, at approximately 1845 hours, I, Deputy Alexandria Sanchez, was dispatched to EZ mart on N 279 in reference to a Theft. Deputy Sanchez spoke with Tiffany Hobbs (Victim) and Kimberly Lavon Goldsmith (Witness), who stated she took possession of Casey Brent Sutterfield’s (Victim) belongings from Casey’s vehicle. Hobbs said some of their items are missing. Hobbs said she thinks CURTIS JAMES GREENE (SUSPECT, W/M, 7/5/86) took their items, because the vehicle was sitting outside his residence. Information was taken, and a report was made.
- On Saturday, May 30, 2026, at approximately 2256 hours, Brown County Deputy Sheriff Steven Trevino was dispatched to an address on Stephen F. Austin, Brownwood, Texas, 76801, regarding an Animal Cruelty call. The complainant stated he found an abandoned animal outside of his place of employment. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
- On 05/31/2026, Deputy John Geis was dispatched to handle an Animal Bite, which occurred at Lisa May Lane, Early, TX 76802. Deputy Geis called and spoke to an Amanda Pyle, who said she was bitten by a stray kitten. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
- On 06/01/2026, at 0947 hours, Deputy Michel Wilson was dispatched to the corner of Hammer and Monaghan Drive for a possible Burglary. While investigating, the reporting party, Javier Becerra, advised there was a Heritage 22LR 9 shot revolver missing, along with an air compressor. Information was obtained, and a report has been made.
- On Monday, June 1, 2026, at 2056 hours, Brown County Deputy Sheriff TJ Harrell and Brown County Deputy Sheriff Patrol Sergeant Franscisco Valenica were dispatched to Blue Quail Drive, Brown County, Texas 76432, for an Assault. Tandra Barnett said she was assaulted by BRENNON O SHEA MCDOWELL while trying to retrieve some belongings. Barnett does not wish to pursue charges. Information was gathered, and a report was generated.
