
The following information was provided by the Brown County Sheriff’s Office:
- On 08/08/2025, at approximately 1329 hours, Brown County Deputy Sheriff Madeline Reigle spoke with an individual, who stated his firearm was taken from an AirBnB rental at the lake. The caller stated he resides in a different county but has not seen or been in possession of his firearm since July 23rd, 2025, when he rented the property. A report was taken for further investigation by the Brown County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division.
- On 08/09/2025, Deputy John Geis was dispatched to handle an illegal dumping on County Road 145. Deputy Geis spoke to Wylie Davis, who said someone dumped branches and trash on the roadway. Information was gathered and a report was made.
- On August 9, 2025, at 0715 hours, Deputy Thomas Beloat with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a fraud involving an online purchase of a motor home van by phone call. Deputy Beloat spoke with complainant, gathered more information, and a report of theft was completed.
- On 08/09/2025, Deputy John Geis was dispatched to handle a walk-in regarding theft. Deputy Geis spoke to a Timothy Gilliam, who said someone stole an iPhone 16 Pro Max from his mail at CR 405, May, TX 76857. Information was gathered and a report was made.
- On August 9, 2025, at 1501 hours, Deputy Thomas Beloat and Sgt. Gene Smith attempted to apprehend an individual for out-of-county warrants. Sgt. Smith and Deputy Beloat arrived on scene and observed a deceased white male. Information was gathered and a report was completed.
- On 08/09/25, at approximately 2215 hours, Deputies Ethan Fox and Alexandria Sanchez were dispatched to Oak Point Dr, Brownwood, TX 76801 regarding a fight. Deputies arrived on scene and spoke with Turner Maples, who stated he was assaulted by three males, who fled the scene before Deputies arrived. Information was gathered and a report was made.
- On August 9, 2025, at 1357 hours, Deputy Thomas Beloat and Sgt. Gene Smith with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to County Road 158 regarding Criminal Trespass. Information was gathered and a report was completed for Criminal Trespass.
- On 08/10/2025, Deputy John Geis was dispatched to Chaparral Dr, Brownwood, TX 76801 regarding a Criminal Trespass. Deputy Geis arrived and spoke to a Donal Gilmore, who said a GREENE, CRYSTAL had trespassed onto his property. Information was gathered and a report was made.
- On 08/10/2025, Deputy John Geis was dispatched to handle an animal complaint. Deputy Geis spoke to Christina Moore, who said her neighbor Wyatt Reed and Karen Reed had an aggressive dog. Information was gathered and a report was made.
- On Sunday, August 10, 2025, Deputy G. Smith and Deputy Beloat were dispatched to County Road 604 for a domestic disturbance. Deputy Smith arrived at County Road 604 and spoke with Deana Davis, the caller, who said David Teed (W/M, DOB:04/10/1972, SUSPECT) had assaulted her daughter and Teed was still in the house. Deputy Smith tried to contact Teed but was unsuccessful. Deputy Smith took the report and charges for Assault Family Violence will be filed.
- On Sunday, 8-10-2025, at about 17:09 hours Sgt Byron Langley arrived at CR 619, Blanket, TX in regard to theft. Sgt Langley spoke to Kara Lea Johanson (Victim), who stated her husband, CLAYTON KEITH JOHANSON (Suspect), had taken $150 from her wallet without her consent.
