Early Superintendent Dr. Joan Otten shared with BrownwoodNews.com Wednesday that Marvin Wilson has been promoted to the role of interim athletic director at Early High School.

Otten added that Early ISD will be posting the AD position for the required number of days, beginning Wednesday.

“Marvin is doing a great job for us keeping things rolling and keeping the district moving forward,” Otten said.

Former Early AD and head football coach Randall Case resigned this past Friday after one season at the helm, leading the Longhorns to a 1-9 overall record and 0-5 district mark.

Wilson served as the defensive coordinator and defensive line coach at Brownwood for the past three seasons before moving to Early in the spring.

Wilson and his wife, Amber, have two sons, Ben and Kaden, who are both in high school and participating in Longhorn athletics.
