This weekend, O.H. Ivie Lake and Early, Texas, take to the national stage, and the broadcast is straight into your living rooms.

The first episode of the 2024 Major League Fishing (MLF) General Tire Team Series event filmed in Early, Texas last fall – the Folds of Honor Patriot Cup Presented by recteq Elimination Match 1 – is set to premiere this Saturday, April 5, at 1 p.m. CT on Outdoor Channel.

The Team Series was comprised of four Cup events, each featuring 12 two-man teams of Bass Pro Tour anglers competing from the same boat and working together to claim part of a season purse of more than $720,000. The Folds of Honor Patriot Cup Presented by recteq, filmed in the fall of 2024, showcased anglers competing on O.H. Ivie Lake and Lake Brownwood. The event was hosted by Visit Early.

“The City of Early and Visit Early were proud to host MLF and this tournament,” said Tony Aaron, City Administrator for Early, Texas. “We look forward to developing a lasting partnership with the organization, staff, and anglers for years to come. Early, Texas is rich with incredible angler opportunities at our local fishery of Lake Brownwood and is conveniently located within a short drive to several other amazing lakes – including the popular monster bass-producing O.H. Ivie. We are big fans of Major League Fishing and the anglers that provide first-class outdoor entertainment. We thoroughly enjoyed welcoming the pros to our community and we encourage all anglers to visit us and discover what awaits you here.”

The Folds of Honor Patriot Cup Presented by recteq, filmed in Early, Texas, was the third event of the four-event Team Series.

In keeping with traditional MLF Cup protocols, Early, Texas was not revealed to Team Series anglers until 30 days prior to the start of the tournament. All fishable waters within 60 miles of Early then went off limits to anglers, and the competitors discovered exactly where they were competing only after arriving at the boat ramp on the morning of competition.

The complete air schedule for the General Tire Team Series Folds of Honor Patriot Cup Presented by recteq in Early, Texas, on Outdoor Channel is:
