Fishing Reports 3/12/25

The following fishing reports are provided by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for the week of March 12:

LAKE BROWNWOOD

SLOW. Water slightly stained; 55 degrees; 0.09 feet below pool. Black bass to 9.23 pounds are fair off the rocks on Hag’s all around jigs in juice box around steep banks and squarebill crankbaits in 2-14 feet of water. Fish are transitioning to the spawning pockets. Crappie are fair to 1 pound on jigs and minnows off points in brush piles 15-20 feet of water. Fish are starting to move shallow. White bass are good to 1.5 pounds on crankbaits up the bayou. Catfish are fair on juglines with cut bait and nightcrawlers.
LAKE CISCO
GOOD. Water slight stain; 62 degrees; 12.85 feet below pool. Crappie are starting to spawn with many catches with minnows and worms. Bass are good. Some days have been very windy from the west. Report by Lake Cisco Rentals.

LAKE COLEMAN

FAIR. Water normal stain; 55 degrees; 0.56 feet below pool. Bass are slow to fair with catches under 5 pounds in less than 4 feet of water and in the creek. The most prominent bait has been slow rolling a spinnerbait. Bass should be in a pre-spawn within the next week. Crappie can be caught with minnows or jigs.

LAKE O.H. IVIE

FAIR. Water slightly stained; 53 degrees; 23.21 feet below pool. Black bass are fair to 7.5 pounds. Bass are starting to move shallow in some areas. Shad colored vibrating jigs and crawfish colored crankbaits are good in shallow water in the river. Main lake mouth of pockets and deeper drains have fish moving toward the back. Jerkbaits, spinnerbaits and small Texas stick worms have been working around brush lines to 8 feet of water. Some schooling bass in deeper pockets as well biting small minnows or shaky heads. Crappie are slow in the mouth of The Colorado River near Yellow Bluff. Report by Wendell Ramsey, Ramsey Fishing.

LAKE PROCTOR

FAIR. Water stained; 50 degrees; 0.18 feet above pool. Target catfish on windblown points and banks with fresh cut bait. Report by Jeffery Sojourner, Sojourner Fishing LLC.
