NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON FY 2025 PROPOSED BROWN COUNTY BUDGET

Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing on the proposed Brown County Budget for Fiscal Year 2024-2025 will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at 9:00am. Commissioners Court will meet at the Brown County Courthouse, Commissioners Courtroom, 200 S Broadway, Brownwood, TX.

THIS BUDGET WILL RAISE MORE TOTAL PROPERTY TAXES THAN LAST YEAR’S BUDGET BY $811,419 WHICH IS A 4.35% INCREASE FROM LAST YEAR’S BUDGET.  THE PROPERTY TAX REVENUE TO BE RAISED FROM NEW PROPERTY ADDED TO THE TAX ROLL THIS YEAR IS $329,710.

A copy of the proposed budget is on file in the County Clerk’s office and is posted on the county website for public review.  Any citizen will have the opportunity to give written and oral comments at the Public Hearing.
