Fishing Reports 9/11/24

The following fishing reports are provided by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for the week of September 11:

LAKE BROWNWOOD

GOOD. Water stained; 79 degrees; 0.29 feet below pool. Black bass catches up to 7 pounds are fair on buzz baits and spinnerbaits in the new water in the grass and weeds, or on crankbaits off the rocks in 2-8 feet around the rock cuts. Crappie are slow with catches up to 11 inches around docks with brush on minnows in 12-15 feet. White bass are fair with catches up to 1 pound on crankbaits and some schooling action. Catfish are fair 6 pounds on baited holes or drifting cut shad on the main lake flats.

LAKE CISCO

GOOD. Water normal stain; 76 degrees; 13.26 feet below pool. Crappie bite is starting to improve on live minnows in 30 feet of water. No reports from anglers for catfish or bass. Report by Lake Cisco Rentals.

LAKE COLEMAN

SLOW. Water stained; 85 degrees; 1.48 feet below pool. Largemouth bass are biting topwaters in the morning. Later in the day target standing timber with finesse baits. Crappie are fair with jigs and minnows.

LAKE O.H. IVIE

GOOD. Water slightly stained; 85 degrees; 25.62 feet below pool. The lake up 7 ft. With recent rains and dropping water temps to 76°has got the fish scattered. Main lake clear to Turkey bend. Upper end still heavy stained. Black bass slow to 5 lbs on Topwaters, spinnerbaira and Chatterbaits in flooded cover. Crappie slow, catfish very good up river where there is current near concho bridge  Report by Wendell Ramsey, Ramsey Fishing.

LAKE PROCTOR

SLOW. Water stained; 85 degrees; 3.81 feet below pool. Fishing is slow for all species. Catfish are slow but can be caught from the bank on punch bait, in deep with cut bait, or on jug lines.
