EARLY – The Early Lady Horns kicked off District 8-3A volleyball action with a four-set home victory over the Comanche Maidens, 22-24, 25-17, 25-19, 27-25, Friday afternoon.

Leading the charge for Early were Hadalee Saunders with 16 kills trailed by Dakota Barksdale with six, Jensyn Rasor with five, Matty Boswell with four, Gabby Leal and Gray Pruett with three apiece and Jenna Hataway with one.

Pruett dished out 34 assists and served an ace, Hataway added two assists and one ace, and Saunders was credited with an assist.

On the defensive end, Hataway registered 12 digs followed by Boswell with five and Pruett, Saunders and Gabby Benson with two apiece.

Barksdale also logged nine blocks and Rasor contributed one.

The Lady Horns (8-7, 1-0) will play their second District 8-3A match at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at home against Breckenridge.
