Registration for the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce “Lemonade Day” event will be held this Saturday, June 10th, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon. The sign-up will take place at Ben Lednicky Park, adjacent to Chick-Fil-A.
This is the second year that the Chamber has sponsored “Lemonade Day,” a summer-long program designed to teach youngsters about how entrepreneurship works by setting up their own business: a lemonade stand! The program includes four training sessions over the summer that teach the young folks how to set goals, make a plan, develop a budget, and work the plan to achieve their dreams — and make some money of their own! The program will conclude with Lemonade Day on August 12, when the young business boys and girls will set up their stands at participating businesses around town and sell their lemonade.
Lemonade Day Brownwood is presented by ASAP Creative Arts and the Texas Tech University Brownwood Recruitment and Academic Advising Center. Supporting sponsors include Chick-Fil-A Brownwood, Andy’s Pest Troopers, First Central Credit Union, and the Historic R.B. Rogers House.
