Lake level rises almost a foot in two days, up 4 feet this month, now 74% full

As of 5:30 a.m. Thursday, May 25, Lake Brownwood is 74 percent full and continuing to slowly rise, up from 57.8 percent full at its lowest point this month on May 6. The water level is 1,419.48 feet, an increase of 4.08 feet from 1,415.4 on May 6. The water level is 5 feet, 1 inch below spillway.

Just two days ago, on Tuesday, May 23, Lake Brownwood was 70.7 percent full and the water level stood at 1,418.68.

A chance for rain remains in the forecast through the weekend.
