David L. Lansford, age 70, of Bangs passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at Continue Care Hospital at Hendrick’s in Abilene.

He was born October 27, 1949 in Orlando, Florida the son of Billy Dave and Gladys Marie (McDougle) Lansford.  He was raised in Gail, Borden County, Texas.  He served in the U. S. Army during the Viet Nam War and later married Lenda Barber.  They had lived in Bangs for the past twenty two years.

He was a retired truck driver/owner and later worked in maintenance in the code department for the City of Brownwood.  He was a member of the Baptist Church.  He enjoyed wood working and remodeling houses.

He is survived by his wife Lenda Lansford of Bangs, a son, Christopher and wife Sarah of Austin, and a sister, Linda Hall of Odessa.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

His body was cremated under the direction of Davis-Morris Funeral Home of Brownwood.
