Sena Fryar

FryarFuneral services for Sena Mabel Fryar, age 99, of Brownwood, will be at 10:30 AM, Monday, January 12, 2015 in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in Greenleaf Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 until 4:00.

Mrs. Fryar passed from this life on Friday, January 9, 2015 in a local nursing facility.

Sena was born on November 10, 1915 in Coleman County to Millard Andrew and Sarah (Slate) Pasley.  She graduated from Santa Anna High School and later married Steven English Fryar. She was a homemaker and worked with her husband in their locksmith business for a number of years.  In her spare time she stayed busy keeping up with family and always keeping an eye on the weather.  She was a member of the Congregational Methodist Church.

Sena is survived by her two sons, Ron Fryar of Brownwood and Calvin Fryar and wife Mary Belle also of Brownwood; a grandson, Steve Fryar and wife Diane and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by parents, her husband, four brothers, three sisters and a granddaughter Jennifer Fryar Bubics in 2013.
