hpusoccerlogoHoward Payne University soccer team used the keeper tandem of Malcolm Framjee and Kyle Huesing to draw 1-1 with Lubbock Christian University.

Neither team found the goal in the first half. HPU had 6 shots to LCU's 4 and fouls were even at four. It was a half where both teams were feeling each other out, and not to many chances were taken at goal.

It wasn't until the 66 minute that the Yellow Jackets broke through and took the lead 1-0. Cameron Jannati would connect with Shane Cazad on a pass from the opposite side of the box to score the only goal for HPU.

The HPU defense would not be able to hold their lead, when fifteen minutes later a free kick from Jorge Martinez of LCU settled down in the box and was finished by Dustin Jones, for the 1-1 tie in the 80 minute.
