On Friday October 23rd, area law enforcement executed two search warrants simultaneously in Brown County.

The investigation was led by the West Central Texas Inter-local Crime Taskforce and assisted by The Brown County Sheriff's Office.  Search warrant teams from the Taskforce, Brown County Sheriff's Office, and the Brownwood Police Department executed a search warrant in the 2600 block of West Main, while search warrant teams from the Brown County Sheriff's Office and Texas Department of Public Safety executed a search warrant in the 6000 block of County Road 551 at Lake Brownwood.  These search warrants were executed without incident.

A search of both residences was conducted and methamphetamine, marijuana, firearms, and items associated with the use and distribution of methamphetamine and marijuana was located.  This investigation revealed that both locations have been involved in middle to upper level drug distribution for Brown County.

Arrested were Jason Leon Bailey age 37 of Brownwood, Joshua James Burch age 28 of Brownwood, Troy Dean Glaeske age 44 of Brownwood, and Becky Glasscock age 33 of Brownwood all for possession of a controlled substance.

Melinda Kay Ford Crosby age 38 of Brownwood, John Angus McDonald age 34 of Early, and Jeffrey Dwayne Harrison age 49 of Lake Brownwood were arrested for possession of marijuana.  Additionally Harrison was arrested for an outstanding felony warrant.

More arrests are expected as this investigation by the West Central Texas Inter-local Crime Taskforce and the Brown County Sheriff's Office progresses.

According to Sheriff Bobby Grubbs, "The continued cooperation between the West Central Texas Inter-local Crime Taskforce and local agencies has in the past made a great impact on the drug trafficking in Brown County.  With this continued cooperation on investigations and arrests, we will make further strides in our effort to fight crime."
